emergencies
Disease Management
Eye discomfort or sudden vision changes should never be ignored. If you notice flashes, floaters, redness, irritation, sudden vision loss, or any other urgent eye issue, we’re here to help. Prompt treatment is key to protecting your sight, and many medical and emergency eye exams can be partially covered by BC Medical Services Plan (MSP).
dry eyes
Dry Eye Management
Living in the Columbia Valley, dry eye symptoms are common. Whether you’re experiencing burning, itching, watering, or that gritty “sand in the eye” feeling, we can help. Our team offers personalized dry eye assessments and treatment options to keep your eyes comfortable all year long.
contact lenses
Contact Lenses
Looking for an alternative to glasses? We fit a wide range of contact lenses, including options for astigmatism, multifocal prescriptions, and even specialty lenses. Our goal is to find the most comfortable, clear, and healthy lens option tailored to your unique eyes.
myopia
Myopia Management
Nearsightedness, or myopia, isn’t just about stronger prescriptions — higher levels of myopia can increase the risk of serious eye conditions like retinal detachment and glaucoma. Our myopia control programs are designed to slow the progression of myopia in children and teens, helping protect their vision for the future.
glasses & frames

From timeless classics to modern statement frames, our optical boutique offers a curated selection of eyewear to fit your style and budget. We also provide expert adjustments, repairs, and safety glasses to keep your vision sharp and your glasses comfortable.

Your Eye Exam

Making an appointment
Call for an appointment. Generally we are booking 8-12 weeks in advance for comprehensive exams for new patients. Let us know the reason for your appointment for proper triage. You may require a driver if dilation drops are used to diagnose your eye condition.
Ocular History
Prior to your eye exam, you will be asked to fill out a health history intake form. The Optometrist will review your intake form and ask you questions about your ocular history. She will also need to know your medical history, as many health conditions and medications have affects on your vision and ocular health.
Pre-testing
This includes visual field screening , intraocular pressure measurement, digital fundus imaging, auto refraction, and O.C.T.
Eye exam
The optometrist assesses all aspects of vision and ocular health. The main reason for your visit is addressed. A diagnosis is discussed and treatment is implemented. The treatments could range from a new eye glass prescription to the referral to an ophthalmologist for ocular surgery.
Extra tests
Depending on the outcome of your eye exam, there is sometimes the need for extra testing. This will be in our clinic and is usually done at your appointment. There are some instances when you may have to return on another day for the extra tests.
Optical dispensary
This is your opportunity to try on and choose new glasses. We will aid you in your frame selection to ensure a proper fit and compatibility with your lens prescription. Once your frame is determined we will do all the precision measurements needed to manufacture your glasses. Glasses are ready in about 10 days. You will then return and we will fit your glasses and provide you with a case, cleaning cloth and spray.
